GES Coco logs

Coco logs are made from coir fibre bunches under pressed condition in tubular enclosures of knotted coir yarn. Normally coir logs are produced with a dia of 30 cm,40 cm,50 cm with a length of 3 metre or 6 metre and can weigh 60kg to 180 kg.

Description

GES Logs are made from natural coir fibre having application in shore line stabilization, river/stream bank and channel  protection. The coir fibres are cleaned and sorted as per fibre length. The fibre bunches are pressed and encased in tubular enclosures of high tensile knotted coir yarn. These GES Logs help dissipate the impact from wave action and flowing water, trap sediments and help grow vegetation. The GES Logs can be pre-seeded and seeding/planting is possible during installation.

Technical Specification

The GES Logs are available in sizes from 12 inches to 20 inches and length from 10 to 20 ft long. There are two densities – Regular and High. The Regular density weighs 0.09 kgs per Cubic Meter and the High Density weighs .12 Kgs per Cubic Meter.

The parameters to be considered in the selection of product are flow velocity, wave height, stream energy, soil type and accessibility to the site. The GES Logs last for 2-5 years. As these logs biodegrade the plants develop well established root system in the sediment in the shoreline and keep the soil in place  preventing further erosion.
